How to teach your kids about money

Credit card companies are looking for the young.  They can find out information about your child that you did not even realize was possible.  The Freedom of Information Act has given credit card companies unbelieveable access to information about your children:  their school, address, age, telepone numbers, sibling names.  All this can be used to build a profile of your child and helps credit card companies determine when and how to farm that next generation of credit users and abusers.

www.ThatMoney.com has published numerous articles about the tactics credit acrd companies deploy and ways you can protect yourself.  However, our series on Money Management for Teens is probably the best resource you have to combat the alure of the credit card companies.  This series equips your child with all the tools they need to be successful money managers when the turn 18.  With the lessons uncovered in the series, your child will understand the power of money and how to us it to help them succeed financially when others, like credit card companies, are looking for them to fail as they prey on them.

Here is our series on Money Management for Teens.
